Diabetes is the disease caused by the failure of the insulin to control the glucose levels in the blood. Diabetes is many times even considered as the hereditary disease i.e. if parents are suffering with the disease then there are high chances that even the child will suffer with the diabetes. Diabetes is characterized in basically in type I and type II diabetes. Type I diabetes is generally the diabetes caused by the excess of the sugar in the human body and the type II diabetes is caused by the less amount of the sugar in the human body. Both the types of diabetes are not good for health, but the most hazardous is type II diabetes. Still there is no need to worry about type II diabetes as only 5% of the people suffer with it. The type I diabetes is found to be the most common are is responsible mainly for the erection problems in men.
Diabetes up course damages the health of an individual, but also devastates the sex life considerably. The study was conducted to understand the relationship between the impotence and diabetes. In the study, 513 men from the different age group but suffering with the diabetes participated in the study. These men were asked the questions about their sex life. More than 60% of the men reported the problems during the sexual activity. Majority of the men reported the problems in either getting the erection or sustaining the erection during the sex. Some men also reported the too fast ejaculation during the sexual encounter. This study made it clear that men suffering with the diabetes also have the problems in their sex life. impotence was found to be the most common problem among the diabetic men.
To study the effect of the sugar levels of the erection frequency in men, the diabetic medication were given to the men. After the sugar level was at normal level, these men were then again asked about there performance during the sexual copulation. The results were astonishing because the men who were having the problems in getting the erections were now able to have the better erections during the sexual activity. Thus, it was clear that sugar levels in the body plays a significant role in erectile mechanism in the men. Hence, impotence is considered as obvious side effect of the diabetes. Some scientists have even claimed that diabetes and impotence are related to each other and once you suffer from diabetes then it is quite mandatory that you must be having the erection problems.
When a man suffers with the diabetes the sugar levels in his body are increased which results in the hardening of the arteries in the human body. Thus, the blood supply to the different parts of the body is reduced, and simultaneously to penis. So, the men are unable to get or sustain the erection during the sexual activity. Even the sugar concentration in the blood increases the density of the blood which disturbs the blood flow. The less amount of the blood supply to the penis makes it impossible for the men to hold the erection throughout the sexual activity and men loses the erection even before their partner is aroused. Thus, diabetes causes impotence. One has to keep his blood sugar level in control if he has to enjoy the sex life to its fullest.
